The Executive Director of the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI), Dr. Umar Yakubu, has said the World Bank's decision to reward 20 Nigerian states with 27 million dollars under the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity Governance (HOPE-GOV) Programme validates the importance of transparency and accountability in public governance. The newly elected Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria Chapter, Comrade Usman Shehu Sulaiman, has pledged to run an inclusive administration focused on members’ welfare and institutional growth. Sulaiman made the pledge on Thursday in Zaria shortly after he was declared winner of the 2026 chapter election by the ASUP Electoral Committee.
